Volunteers
Our Greatest
Asset
Volunteers form
an integral part of our organisation and are undoubtedly one of most treasured
assets.
Volunteers'
unwavering passion, dedication and boundless energy contribute significantly to
a positive working environment for all to enjoy.
The donation of
their time and expertise ensures the Foundation is able to provide a 7 day
service to the Hospital and minimise administrative costs and channel a greater
proportion of net proceeds into supporting Modbury Hospital.
The
opportunities
The Kiosk:
volunteers help our staff run the Hospital Kiosk, 12 hours a day, 7 days a
week. We only close Christmas Day and Good Friday. Roles include food service
and customer service.
Gift Shop:
volunteers staff the Hospital Gift shop for us, answering the phone, selling
flowers, cards and gifts. They also perform some standard administrative tasks
such as helping with mailings.
Fundraising:
volunteers run stalls for us at community events, help at Foundation fundraisers
or even organise their own. There is some office based work including helping
with raffle administration and mailouts.
Volunteers
typically work for 1 – 4 shifts per week for us and we are grateful for any time
that they can give us. Volunteer drivers may claim their travel expenses. Full
training is provided with updates on a regular basis. There is a great team
spirit and we encourage volunteers to become involved in all areas of the
Foundation.
